Greenland is losing ice more than scientists have thought

The article talked about the melting ice in the Greenland. It  melts faster that the scientist have already predicted. If all the ice in Greenland melted, then the sea levels would raise up to 23 feet. From Willis and his colleagues data, the Greenland ice sheet was losing mass 8 percent faster than previous estimates. The area which faster to melt is the one near the ocean. Rising ocean waters and air temperatures are essentially putting ice in a vise grip of warming and speeding up melt.

In my opinion, when global warning is not stopped by now, it will cause a lot of trouble some years in the future. Ice melt, ocean water level rise, the island will be drowning, and the animals will be extinct. Who have a big role of this situation? Of course human is the main role. We do something without thinking about our environment really often. If we can prevent global warming, earth will be the best place to live, right? We can help the earth by planting plants or using recyclable bag when do the grocery shopping. Just by the simple action like that you prevent the global warming. You can also invite your friend to do that then when everyone is accustomed with that habit we can keep our earth like the way it now, even healthier and  more enjoyable place to live.
